The Youth Mental Health First Aid online course designed to equip you (adult over 18 years) with the tools to provide initial support to adolescents experiencing a mental health problem or crisis.

Please note: Course work will be emailed through to participants two weeks prior to Thursday 31 July. All participant will be expected to complete this course work before the session. Failure to do so will mean you won't be able to recieve a Youth Mental Health First Aid manual and Certificate of Accreditation.

Over the two weeks you will learn about:

  • Adolescent development.
  • Signs and symptoms of common mental health problems in young people.
  • Where and how to get help.
  • What sort of help has been shown by research to be effective.
  • How to provide first aid in crisis situations.

Participants will receive a Youth Mental Health First Aid manual and Certificate of Accreditation upon the successful completion of the course.
